ACT OPENS MISSOURI MAINTENANCE FACILITY
American Central Transport opened its new 24,000-square-foot maintenance facility on eight acres in Kansas City, Mo. The near-full-time operating hours allow tractor-trailers to be serviced continually.

It contains two express lanes, eight tractor bays, four trailer bays, an office, a truck wash, a drivers’ waiting area and a loading ramp for reworking loads.


LANDSTAR HONORS ITS NEWEST ROADSTARS
Landstar System recognized 19 drivers as Landstar Roadstars, bringing the group’s total membership to 285. New winners of the lifetime achievement award are: Ray Anderson, Frank Beltran, Diane Benjamin, William Cleary, Dennis Depoy, Paul Gardner, Ralph Griffin, Ron King, Dennis Lewer, Andy Millar, Greg Ousley, Paul Peterson, Bob Plymale, Terry Reed, Cletus Renninger, George Stephens, Chuck Vaughan, Bob Wagnell and Ronald Walker.


AWARDS & RECOGNITION
DART TRANSIT honored Juan Garcia and Jerry Miller as its 2006 Contractors of the Year. Each received a trophy, a $1,000 check and a personalized leather jacket.

DECKER TRUCK LINE named its March Drivers of the Month: J.F. Mayo, flatbed; Dwight Elm, reefer/van.

CON-WAY FREIGHT honored four drivers for 2 million accident-free miles: James Coveney, Efrain Gomez, Jorge Quezada and Larry Painter.

SITTON MOTOR LINES honored Tony Barnett as its January Driver of the Month.

CTL TRANSPORTATION named Ray Hysel its March 2007 Bull Dog Award winner.
