Marten increases per-mile pay
Marten Transport increased settlement rates for owner-operators by 2 cents per mile on an already graduated scale. “Being able to increase our settlement rate at this time and offer consistent freight and miles is evidence of Marten’s stability and long-term planning,” says Tim Norlin, the fleet’s recruiting director.
Expansions
Bolt Express LLC added Bolt Express Truckload, which provides truckload services in North America and Mexico, and Bolt Logistics Mexico, which makes deliveries, stores and brokers freight across the border and within Mexico . . . Southeastern Freight Lines expanded operations in Mexico and opened a 30,000-square-foot, 46-door warehouse in Laredo, Texas.

Birmingham, Ala.-based CRST Malone, Inc. honored Marvin Godsey and Ray Ewing for driving 1 million miles and named Otis Lane the fleet’s Owner-Operator of the year . . . Dart Transit made second-quarter monthly awards to contractors. Recipients are Rene Perez and Roy Brown for April, Gregorio Sierras and Gerald Clouse for May, and Michael Smith and David Sizemore for June.
