On display this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show is the Western Star 4900X that stars as Optimus Prime in the next iteration of the Transformers movie series. Above is a gallery of the truck on the show floor. (Photos by Jason Cannon)

Looks cool as hell but don’t care for the cartoon paint flame job. Looks like something mickey mouse or Donald duck would drive.
Love it. Looks fantastic. If I was an owner/operator I’d totally buy and drive it :)
I agree. Travis Lyon’s Decepticon is more my style of a bad-ass big rig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I23bw9NXkHI
Geeze people, its for a freaking movie. My grandson is totally stoked. He’s 8, he understands the difference between Optimus Prime and a real truck.
This thing looked GREAT at MATS!!! You could hardly move in the Western Star booth because of the huge line of people waiting to take a picture with Optimus and get a poster. Wish it would have been part of the ride and drive…
Optimus was originally Japanese.
