Data released last week by the Department of Transportation shows that for the fourth straight year the number of truck crossings into the U.S. from Canada and Mexico rose, with 2013’s crossings climbing to 10.8 million — 1.1 percent higher than 2012’s.
That increase follows increases from 2010-2012, according to the DOT’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics, coming after four years of decline from 2005-2009.
