NY decides against truck toll hikes

A preliminary plan to raise tolls on truck drivers traveling the New York Thruway has been scrapped in favor of a new plan that involves shoring up spending and better asset management.

The Thruway Authority’s director offered the authority board a new plan this week, which has been approved, reports say.
