If you’ve never seen Class 8 trucks roaring down a track, consider a trip to North Carolina for the Charlotte Diesel Super Show, Oct. 7-8.

Time trials will begin the morning of Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The top prize is $1,500, and other money prizes also will be awarded.

The show also will offer live equipment and truck demonstrations, exhibits related to trucking and construction equipment, ride and drives and activities for all ages, and the Custom Rigs’ Pride and Polish truck beauty contest. There will be opportunities for drivers to do a test drive down the zMax Dragway.

Music legend Charlie Daniels will perform Oct. 7. The concert is free with purchase of a Charlotte Diesel Super Show ticket. Adult admission is $20 for a two-day pass; tickets for children ages 7 to 16 are $10 for two days. Children 6 and younger can attend for free. In addition to the concert, all events, exhibits and parking are included in the purchase price.
