YELLOW DRIVER NAMED GRAND CHAMPION

James March, a Yellow Transportation driver based in Lancaster, Pa., is the 2002 Grand Champion of The National Truck Driving Championships, sponsored by the American Trucking Associations.

March out-maneuvered more than 340 other professional truck drivers in Milwaukee, Wis. The contestants were the state champions in nine truck types from 50 states. Tests in each class included an alley dock, a rear line stop, a side park, a scales stop, a right turn, a front line stop and straight line driving through a diminishing clearance. CRST VAN EXPEDITED of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, added Ervin Johnson of Minneapolis to the company’s Million Mile Safe Driving Group. Johnson started with CRST as a company team driver and later leased on after buying a tractor through CRST’s lease-purchase program.
