Ronnie Brees sold his former Kenworth in April 2011 and considered retiring from trucking. But just two months later, “I was missing the road and started looking for another truck,” he says. He found this 2005 Kenworth W900L in August 2011, and he leased to Landstar with the rig on a dedicated run hauling Navistar engines from Huntsville, Ala., to Springfield, Ohio, and back. The truck is powered by a 550-hp C-15 Caterpillar and an 18-speed transmission.

Brees did hang trucking his hat, though, in October 2012 and sold the rig, ending 51 years of trucking, he says. The day after retiring, Brees had a heart attack, but “after seven days in the hospital and five months of laying around, I passed my DOT physical, just in case I get the urge to drive again.”
