Pilot Flying J added a total of 58 locations to its network in 2016, including 17 new travel centers and a joint venture with Speedway that added 41 former Speedway/Wilco locations in the Southeast.

The 58 additional locations for PFJ in 2016 added 4,200 parking spaces and 320 showers. In total, PFJ now has more than 750 locations offering a total of 74,000 parking spaces and 5,100 showers, the company says.

“2016 has been an exciting year of growth,” said PFJ President Ken Parent. “We’ve made investments in new locations throughout the country, and we’ve developed agreements with partners like Speedway. This is part of Pilot Flying J’s continued commitment to growth, and another step in our mission to connecting people and places with comfort, care and a smile to better serve our customers and guests. We look forward to continued growth in the new year as well.”

Additionally, PFJ launched its myPilot mobile app in 2016, which gives drivers the ability to pay for fuel from their phones, check which fuel pumps are likely to open next, reserve showers and more.

The company also announced in December it will be launching a roadside assistance program in January and has plans to add parking availability information and parking reservation capabilities to its MyPilot app.
