Pilot Flying J last month rolled out a new roadside assistance program meant to aid truckers with emergency maintenance issues. The program will include more than 150 trucks equipped to handle issues with tires, fuel, accessory replacement and more. The company showcased the system this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville.

Roadside assistance trucks are currently operating in more than fifteen cities across the country, including Knoxville, Tenn., Effingham, Ill. and Raphine, Va., with more than 150 additional trucks to come nationwide throughout 2017. The service is available 24/7 at 888-997-1034. The service will also include 20 brick and mortar locations, with more likely to come, says Pilot Flying J Vice President of Shop Strategies and Operations David Latimer.

Latimer says the service will offer Bridgestone, Michelin, Yokohama and GiTi tires.

Long-term, Latimer says the company wants to have locations and emergency assistance trucks at all of its 300 locations.
