Plenty of chrome at Dallas show

There were a record 71 entrants at the Great American Trucking Show Pride & Polish in late August. It was good to see new faces as well as veterans, some of whom have been on old Pride & Polish calendars, such as Jeff Hardage.

One of the show truck owners I interviewed wasn’t your typical Pride & Polish entrant. It was Gary Salisbury, president and CEO of Fikes Truck Line, who somehow found time to show an old Kenworth, which won First in Antique – Combo.

You can see some short videos of Salisbury and two others online:

  • Rusty Conn’s Black Gold, Texas Tea, a 2003 Peterbilt 379.  Conn won Third in Working Bobtail – 2001-2005.
