Obama applauds Detroit Diesel’s new plant
President Barack Obama visited Detroit Diesel Corp. Monday to praise the company for its $120 million investment into a Redford, Mich.-based plant to build its DT12 automated-manual transmission and DD15 turbocharger. Obama spoke to a crowd consisting of mostly United Auto Worker members and Detroit managers.
