ULTRA-DEEP RADIAL DRIVE
Firestone has introduced a new, 29/32-inch-deep drive axle radial for long-distance line haul use. The FD690 PLUS has one of the deepest treads of any drive radial in the industry and, together with a continuous shoulder design, is engineered to combat irregular wear, the company says. The tread features an aggressive block/lug design, with numerous angled edges to cut through water and road films. Additional tread stability is provided by a continuous shoulder design. Suitable for both single and tandem drive axle applications, the FD690 PLUS is available in a “G” load rating, in both standard and low-profile sizes for 221/2 and 241/2-inch wheels.

CUMMINS ISL AVAILABLE ON KENWORTH
The enhanced Cummins ISL engine is now available for order on Kenworth trucks. Kenworth is offering the 8.9-liter engine in ratings of 310 to 350 hp and 1,050 to 1,250 pounds-feet of torque. The ISL offers a variable geometry turbocharger, which constantly adjusts airflow based on engine load, altitude and temperature. The engine is designed with 24-valve centered fuel injection for offers optimum combustion.

BRIDGESTONE’S NEW DRIVE RADIAL
Bridgestone’s new M725 drive radial, similar to Bridgestone’s M726, is designed for single-drive axle tractors and straight trucks. With an ultra-deep 30/32-inch tread, the M725 is one of the deepest line-haul drive axle radials in the industry, offering long tread life, high traction and Bridgestone retreadability. The M725 incorporates an aggressive, open-shoulder tread pattern, designed to dig in and hold on snow and other soft surfaces.
The M725 is available in 295/ 75R22.5, 285/75R24.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 sizes with a “G” load rating.

WAECO EXPANDS LINE OF COOL BOXES
WAECO U.S.A.’s CX range of coolers now includes plug-in units in 19-quart and 33-quart capacity, at $49 and $99 respectively. The CCF-40, a top-loading refrigerator/freezer, lists at $349.
