OIL SAMPLING VALVE
The new Checkfluid Pushbutton valve quickly samples fluid systems operating at pressures up to 750 psi. The valve can take an active sample directly from an engine, transmission or hydraulic system without probes, avoiding the high cost of retaking samples.
The barbed spout is free to rotate 360 degrees and can also attach to PVC tubing for the best position to install and sample. The main seal has been tested leak-free and reliable for 1 million cycles at 7800 psi and the backup dust cover seal is rated to 750 psi. A safety lockout nut prevents accidental activation. It is available in a range of thread sizes and types of seals.

HEAVY-DUTY STARTER
Denso has introduced the P5.0 planetary gear reduction starter for 8-16-liter heavy-duty engines. The company says the starter weighs only 38.6 pounds and has a “high-torque design for maximum starting power.” The unit is also designed to guarantee slow rotation of the pinion gear at engagement “for improved durability of the pinion and ring gear.” The drive housing mounting position can be rotated to fit the application.
