U.S. 129/State Route 115 was reopened today, after a rockslide had covered the road last week approximately nine miles north of the Tennessee-North Carolina state line.
Both lanes of the highway, known locally as “the Dragon,” are open, said the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
To detour from North Carolina commercial drivers traveling on U.S. 74 can take State Route 68 north to Ducktown. Continue on SR 68 through Polk and Monroe counties to I-75 in Sweetwater.
