Company driver Doug Quick has been awarded Ruan Transport Corp.’s 2009 Driver of the Year Award, the Des Moines, Iowa-based carrier announced. A 28-year veteran trucker, Quick has worked for the fleet for 14 years and operates out of its terminal in Tampa, Fla.
He is a dedicated driver for fleet client Johnson Controls, Inc. and was honored with a trophy and $5,000 for winning the award. He was chosen from a pool of more than 4,000 drivers, a spokesman for the carrier said.
