Run slow and steady

Updated Sep 6, 2013
Run slow and steady. No jackrabbit starts. Keep RPMs low as you go through the gears. Watch your boost gauge if you have one, and try to keep boost around 10 or under while cruising and when pulling hard try to keep the boost from going no higher than 15-18 pounds. Run super singles and keep tires at rated psi. Only use cruse control in flat areas and peddle in hilly areas so you can control boost pressure better. Keep idling down to a bare minimum. Try to use biodiesel to a minimum to lower miles per gallon. Keep fuel and air filters clean. The biggest fuel savings tip is the driver’s right foot: It’s all about slow and steady and light on the pedal.
