This was confusing to me at the time, but I was still worried about the man-killing fan, so we left it at that. I have since learned a whole lot about trucking, and filter about 90 percent of the things I hear through the bulls**t meter, but it doesn’t make them any less entertaining to hear. Long live the Counter of Knowledge.

    TV viewing habits are a real mixed bag, alright. CSI, hmm, OK; FOX, no real surprise (babes); CNN, a little surprised; QVC, seriously?! Last winter, I hustled in hopes of seeing a really good NFL playoff game, only to find a full house, the big flat-screen tuned to a Samurai movie. With English subtitles. Are you freakin’ kiddin’ me?!?!

    The Counter of Knowledge is a real wealth of information: ‘Ran team with Moses, taught ‘im everything …’ buh-huh. ‘Truckin’ fer a hunert years, never shut down for weather or chained up once …’ a-yup-a-yup. But that fan thing? Totally true; killed me instantly …
