Surface trade rises

Trade using surface transportation between the United States and Canada and Mexico rose 11 percent in June over a year earlier to $ 77.5 billion, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The June total was 0.3 percent higher than May.
U.S.-Canada and U.S.-Mexico surface transportation trade both increased compared with June 2010, with U.S.-Canada reaching $46.1 billion, a 9.7 percent increase, and U.S.-Mexico reaching $31.4 billion, a 12.8 percent increase.
