Sylectus, a business unit of Omnitracs Canada and a provider of web-based transportation management software (TMS) for progressive fleets, recently launched an iPhone-based Sylectus Mobile application to add to is Android-powered app enabling access to the TMS. The app enables automated tracking of loads in near real-time and offers new image capture and indexing capabilities, allowing drivers to take pictures of key trip documents and import and index them directly to the order. The iPhone application also integrates with Omnitracs’ Driver Workflow application, which enables carriers to automate workflow for a more fluid, intuitive experience.

“With the new Sylectus Mobile application for iPhone, our customers now have the flexibility to choose the platform—Android or iPhone—on which they run their business operations,” said Stu Sutton, company president and CEO.

Link Transport Inc., a Michigan-based carrier, reports good results in improved driver-dispatch communication with early adoption of the app, the company says.
