Trucker who fell asleep at wheel after falsifying logs awarded $80M
Trucker Lauro Lozano accused his employers of forcing him to change his logs to show he took his 34-hour break and take a load from Texas to Maryland. He fell asleep at the wheel along I-59 in Alabama and rear-ended another truck, causing severe injuries to himself.

According to Ty Countryman with the Lakewood (Colorado) Police Department, 23-year-old Texas-based truck driver Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos was traveling eastbound on I-70 and lost control of his truck before coming up on backed-up traffic.

Canadian trucker sentenced to eight years in prison following deadly bus crash that killed 16, injured 13
Trucker Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was sentenced to eight years in prison on one count of dangerous driving causing death, as well as eight years in prison for the other 15 counts of the same charge, concurrent to the first count. He was also given a 10-year driving ban in Canada following his prison sentence.
