Twenty trucking companies from across North America have been named the 2013 Best Fleets to Drive For by the Truckload Carriers Association and CarriersEdge.
Now through Oct. 31, the Truckload Carriers Association is accepting nominations for the fifth annual Best Fleets to Drive For contest and survey.
For owner operators, contest survey revealed miles were flat, but income had increased by 5 percent.
The carrier provides steady miles and home time, along with different insurance options at reasonable rates, TCA said.
Company drivers and owner operators were asked to nominate carriers that operate 10 trucks or more.
Boyd Bros. Transportation and Dart Transit won top awards the best fleets for company drivers and owner-operators, respectively, to work for in the Truckload Carriers Association Best Fleets to Drive For contest.

Best Fleets to Drive For is an annual survey and contest identifying the North American for-hire trucking companies that provide the best workplace experiences.
