Celadon reveals income likely misreported by $250 million in recent years, stock trading halted
The company is under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission over the discrepancies within filings required of publicly traded companies, as reported by Overdrive in October. The SEC notified Celadon last May that it was at risk of being delisted on the New York Stock Exchange. The company acknowledged Tuesday it likely will not meet the May 2 deadline set by the SEC for reissuing the forms to prevent being delisted.

Celadon Trucking has purchased certain equipment-based assets of truckload carrier Tango Transport. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Tango, an 850-truck carrier, also has notified the Louisiana Workforce Commission that it will be laying off up to 80 workers.

EEOC orders Celadon to pay former driver applicants $200k in disability discrimination case
Celadon violated federal law by subjecting applicants to medical exams before offering them a job, the EEOC said in its charges against the carrier, as applicants are protected from such screenings by the Americans with Disabilities Act. The medical exams were also inconsistent with DOT protocol.
