Long-term highway bill, cleared by Senate committee, could have legs

The Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee on Wednesday unanimously passed a six-year, $275 billion called the DRIVE Act. The bill, first introduced this year, increases funding levels slightly from the two-year MAP-21 highway funding act passed in 2012.
