Navistar announced today at that it will drop its MaxxForce 15-liter heavy-duty diesel engine in favor of the Cummins ISX15.
An aerodynamic truck, a natural gas engine, trailer suspensions and a powertrain package are among the products featured.
The new engines will deliver up to a 2 percent fuel economy improvement over comparable engines being produced today.
The Cummins ISX15 EPA 2010 engine is now available for the North American Western Star market, in addition to the company’s Detroit Diesel offerings.
