Maverick raises driver pay

Drivers’ tarp pay has been increased to $25, which is double the previous amount, Maverick Transportation announced. Starting pay for flatbed drivers was also raised to a range of 42 cents to 43 cents per mile. A longevity incentive each year for up to five years is effective for all drivers, and student and driver instructors will receive increases in training pay and mileage incentives, the Little Rock, Ark.-based carrier said. Boyd Bros. raises pay 1 cent

A 1-cent pay raise for drivers  is in now in effect, Boyd Bros. Transportation announced. All drivers will now receive an additional 1 cent on every paid mile. In addition to the pay increase, the Clayton, Ala.-based flatbed carrier also announced an increase in tarp and detention pay to $20 and $18 per load, respectively.
