Two one-truck companies charged with falsifying DVIRs
According to the indictment, the owners of the companies directed their employees, under threat of termination, to falsify Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and not report safety defects or deficiencies that would affect the safe operation of vehicles or in a breakdown.

Say goodbye to no-defect inspection reports — FMCSA’s officially eliminated them
FMCSA will publish Thursday, Dec. 18, a Final Rule that will eliminate the requirement that truck drivers keep and submit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports when no defects have been found. The rule takes effect immediately.
