ATA's seasonally adjusted For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index rose 0.2 percent in March.
Index increased 0.5 percent in October after 1.5 percent in September.
Compared with January 2010, adjusted tonnage climbed 8 percent, which was the largest year-over-year increase since April 2010.
