The FTC alleges that FleetCor falsely told customers they would save money by using their fuel cards, be protected from unauthorized charges, and have no set-up, transaction or membership fees. G&P Trucking’s broker and motor carrier arms both are now part of NFI through acquisition.

Thousands of trucking companies getting checks in DOTAuthority.com fraud case
FTC announced it is sending checks totaling $757,946 to 14,948 small businesses, an average of just over $50 per check. The refunds come from a $900,000 settlement paid by Excelsior Enterprises International, one of four corporate defendants in the case brought by the FTC.

Owner-operator services firms to pay $900k to settle claims of scamming truckers
James P. Lamb, a former small-broker advocate and now head of the Small Business in Transportation Coalition, has agreed to settle a probe into his business dealings brought by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, who accused Lamb and several of his businesses of cheating owner-operators out of millions of dollars over the course of several years.
