An intense blizzard that consisted of hurricane-force wind gusts and heavy snow has forced the closure of some major highways in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. Portions of I-25, I-80, I-90, I-94 and I-29 are closed throughout the region.

In the Kansas Statewide Freight Network Truck Parking Plan released earlier this month, KDOT and KTA said truck drivers were spending up to 30 minutes a day looking for parking.
