Prime honors fallen soldiers

A new Temperature Controlled Team Service begins today as a CRST Expedited division, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based carrier CRST International Inc. announced. The service will rely on team drivers. Rand McNally and Navistar Inc. on Thursday, Nov. 3, announced an agreement to make Rand McNally’s IntelliRoute TND truck GPS units available as an in-dash option in International trucks starting next year. Love’s adds nine tire centers

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores recently added nine truck tire care centers to its existing locations, the travel center says. The new tire centers are in Richmond, Ky.; Oak Creek, Wis.; DeMotte, Ind.; Skippers, Va.; Richmond Hill, Ga.; Perrysburg, Ohio; Ottawa, Kan.; Benson, Ariz.; and Grayson, Ky. Love’s has plans to add 50 tire care centers to its travel stops this year, and all new Love’s stops will be built with tire care centers onsite.

The Truckload Carriers Association is taking applications for Trucking’s Weight Loss Showdown, a 10-week competition to start Jan. 24, 2012. Pilot to buy 7 Bosselman stores

Pilot Flying J will purchase seven Bosselman travel centers in Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Nebraska, the travel plaza franchises announced. The acquisition comes from a 2004 agreement between the two travel center chains in which Bosselman used Pilot’s trademark at several of the locations to be purchased.
