Truck drivers operating in Connecticut could face $75 fines for not removing snow and ice from their vehicles — and fines up to $1,250 if ice or snow flies off and causes damage or injury, under a measure passed this week by state lawmakers. Victor Kalinitichll, Valerjis Belovs and Joseph Jadczak Jr. were sentenced April 26 in Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Norristown, Pa., on charges related to an accident in which one person died and five others were seriously injured when a commercial vehicle operated by Belovs drove into stopped traffic.
