California Pilot adds Shorepower

Pilot Flying J, in collaboration with federally funded Shorepower Truck Electrification Project, has added electrical connections to 36 parking spaces at the Pilot Travel Center at Exit 745 off I-5 in Weed, California. IdleAir will offer free shorepower service at its two new locations in Dalton, Ga., on I-75 at exit 326, and White Pine, Tenn., on I-81 at exit 4, through Nov. 30. Shorepower provider IdleAir has opened locations in Shepherd, Texas, and Claysville, Pa. The Claysville, Pa., stop is at exit six off I-70, and the Texas stop is on Highway 59, north of Houston. IdleAir Premium service is $1.99 per hour plus tax for the first 10 hours, after which the price drops to $1.25 per hour.
