Awesome bull hauler: An Iowa Pete truck show winner

Peterbilt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, hosted a truck beauty competition and show this past Saturday, May 5, that attracted more than 40 entrants. Pictured here (beauty shot below) is the "hot lime-green" 2000 Peterbilt 379 bull hauler that garnered the most votes from the judges (the entrants themselves) for Best in Show, along with staff members of Buhr Trucking, the rig's owner (pictured left to right: Kevin Whitla, Travis Buhr, Atley Buhr, Darylee Gómez and Logan ...

Colin Stuart’s ‘Working Class,’ shown in Knoxville this weekend

Just as I was wrapping up my time at the Southeastern Regional Truck Show this past Saturday, April 14, what would pull into the lot at Knoxville, Tenn.'s Chilhowee Park on East Magnolia but this stupendous custom 1984 Peterbilt 359, the usually heavy-hauling (he had on a load of pallets Saturday) Working Class of Harvard, Ill.-based Colin Stuart. His new Workin’ Class record makes good on ...

Don’t miss the ‘Class Act’ on the show lot at MATS

“Class Act,” a 1995 Peterbilt 379 (pictured) in the Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Show competition ending today in Louisville, isn’t your typical truck show entry. It’s not the creation of an owner-operator, custom shop, fleet or dealer. The folks who beautified this truck, in some cases, don’t even have their driver’s license. “Class Act” was restored from scrap condition (see before pic below) by 35 high school students from the Clarion County Career Center ...
