This top-ten hall of fame — or shame, depending on your perspective — is actually a top 11, showing states in which the most violations per individual inspection were written throughout calendar year 2014.

While many of the usual suspects at the top of the rankings (see our report on Connecticut from last year) didn’t change much between 2013 and 2014, Wisconsin neighbors Minnesota and Iowa were close in violations per inspection, but Minnesota narrowly took the 10th spot.

The rankings for the states where it’s least likely for a trucker to receive a clean inspection show similar patterns. Explore the map of those states below, and for more, visit Overdrive and sister publication CCJ‘s CSA’s Data Trail hub for enforcement patterns and information at this link.

Next week: Stay tuned for a report on the No. 2 state in the above list, Wisconsin.
