Old Dominion opens service centers

A 38-door service center in South Houston, Texas, and a 44-door facility in Kalamazoo, Mich., opened recently, Old Dominion Freight Lines Inc. announced. The Kalamazoo service center will staff 15 employees and is southeast of the city, near the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport. Boss Shop opens in Laramie, Wyo.

A new Boss Shop is open at the Pilot Travel Center on Interstate-80 at Exit 310 in Laramie, Wyo., Bosselman Inc. announced. Service includes tires, quick lube oil changes, and brake, electrical, drive train, air conditioning and other repairs, as well as roadside service. Team drivers offered sign-on bonus

Experienced teams hired before Sept. 30 can sign on with a $10,000 bonus, Schneider National Inc. announced. The sign-on offered by the carrier based in Green Bay, Wis., is $5,000 per team driver. Schneider team drivers can earn 6 cents per mile more than solo drivers, have priority dispatch and have 99 percent no-touch freight, said Schneider National Vice President Mike Hinz. Data compliance service to expand

Hours of service information, overall safety scorecards and intervention workflow for at-risk drivers will be provided to carriers in a new partnership with data management firm Vigillo, Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. announced. The expanded service in safety and compliance data as mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Comprehensive Safety Analysis is expected to start in the fall. KLLM raises driver pay

Lead drivers in the South and Midwest, contractors and lease-purchase contractors are eligible for a pay increase, KLLM Transportation Services, based in Jackson, Miss., announced. Southeast regional lead drivers will receive a pay increase ranging from 23 percent to 25 percent, and Midwest regional lead drivers will get an increase ranging from 39 cents per mile to 43 cents per mile. Tractors commemorate Schneider’s founding

San Bernardino, Calif., resident Harvey Robbins, shown in the photo, is one of 10 drivers hauling freight in Schneider’s new Freightliner tractors specially decorated for the carrier’s 75th anniversary celebration. CRST Van Expedited will be named CRST Expedited after Sept. 15, parent company CRST International announced. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based carrier's largest subsidiary, CRST Expedited is used for time-sensitive loads, high-value loads and loads that require additional security. Six independent truck stops and travel centers are now offering Transflo Express scanning for truckers, Tampa, Fla.-based Pegasus Trans Tech announced. TRANSFLO Express is now available at more than 750 truck stops in the U.S. and Canada including Pilot, Flying J, and Love’s locations.
