Pavel Kolacek, an owner-operator from High Ridge, Mo., has been named a TCA Highway Angel due to his quick thinking while on the road. Kolacek, who is leased to Artur Express of St. Louis, Mo., was driving on I-270 through St. Louis when he noticed a car coming toward him. He changed lanes in order to let the driver by. The car then spun and landed in a ditch on the other side of the highway. Kolacek pulled over, called authorities and waited with the driver until help arrived. The driver had recently had surgery and had passed out while driving. As part of the honor, Kolacek will get a Highway Angel lapel pin, a certificate and patch. Artur Express will also receive a certificate.
