Trucking organizations form partnership to help truckers find available parking

Truck Parking at NightSeveral trucking organizations are joining forces to form a new Truck Parking Leadership Initiative that will focus on sharing truck parking availability information with the nation’s truck drivers.

The National Association of Truck Stop Operators, the American Trucking Associations, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance and the American Transportation Research Institute will hold a press conference to announce the new initiative Wednesday, May 18 at noon in the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

The groups, along with members of Congress Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) and Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.), will announce their plans for sharing parking availability with truck drivers during the event.
