Two more electronic logging device providers have announced updates to their e-log software to account for the suspension of enforcement of certain 34-hour restart rules that went into effect in December.

Continental announced its VDO RoadLog ELD’s software update will be free and will be available automatically online to registered VDO owners.

The VDO is a standalone device that allows for what Continental says offers a less expensive entry into ELD use. It’s a plug and play system that uses GPS data and vehicle-inputted data.

iGlobal also announced its ELOG app has been updated to reflect the change also.

Several other e-log makers have also announced restart rollback software updates.
