U.S. Xpress teams on military project

U.S. Xpress Enterprises announced it has partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project as a Platinum Sponsor. This partnership represents a $50,000 commitment from U.S. Xpress.

During April and May, U.S. Xpress will donate five dollars for every experienced qualified driver who applies online to U.S. Xpress.

Additionally, U.S. Xpress, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., will support WWP by sponsoring Soldier Ride Nashville on Sept. 24. The WWP Soldier Ride provides rehabilitative cycling opportunities across the country to help wounded warriors restore their physical and emotional well-being.

“Through U.S. Xpress’ generous donation, we will be able to continue to provide unique programs that assist warriors and their caregivers,” said Brea Kratzert, Wounded Warrior project manager of strategic partnerships. “Wounded Warrior Project is thrilled about this wonderful partnership and its impact to make this the most successful well-adjusted generation of veterans in our nation’s history.”

The mission of WWP is to honor and empower soldiers and to foster the most successful well-adjusted generation of wounded warriors in United States history. U.S. Xpress sought to partner with WWP in large part because of the number of drivers and office staff at U.S. Xpress who previously have served in the military.
