Joel Dawes, owner and operator of the small reefer fleet Dawes Contractor Carriers out of Waterford, Wis., has been toting this 1988 Peterbilt 379 around the show circuit the last two seasons. The truck — in addition to its Best of Show win at the Fitzgerald Truck Show Pride & Polish event last year — just picked up another Pride & Polish Best of Show title at the 75 Chrome Shop Show held in late April.

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
