From the perspective of a company driver, or even someone who’s yet to earn a CDL, the prospect of owning your own truck seems like a big step. It is.

For almost two decades, Overdrive has produced its Partners in Business program to address the preparation required to be an owner-operator and the best practices to stay in business and prosper. The program consists of a manual and truck show seminars, sponsored this year by truckstop.com and Ryder.

Two of the seminars will be presented Aug. 25 by ATBS, the nation’s largest owner-operator financial services provider and co-author of the manual. Two others will be led by Kevin Rutherford, long-time PIB presenter and popular trucking radio host, on Aug. 26.
