Junior ROTC salute fallen Civil war soldiers at Nashville National Cemetery

After covering the partial-load delivery of wreaths by driver John Dyer at Nashville National Cemetery last Friday, I went out the following wet morning to catch the ceremony and wreath-laying — a touching tribute to America’s fallen service members, ultimately.

Wreaths were laid in a section of the cemetery devoted to Civil War-era soldiers.

Catch a video of the ceremony, as well as several still photos from the day as well as the prior morning’s delivery, below.

The origins of the Wreaths program has best been told by my colleague with Overdrive sister magazine CCJ Aaron Huff. Read that story here.
