Story of Trucker Charity’s new rig

In June of this year, the Trucker Charity Inc. organization, devoted to helping drivers in duress get home when stranded out on the road, received quite a significant donation. An anonymous donor “donated a truck,” said Tony Hamilton, a member of the organization and likewise of the Operation Roger volunteer pet transport operation.

The newly launched TCI Transport has now has Hamilton driving the truck running specialized freight, with the profits going back into the charity. I caught up with Tony at GATS, where he was kind enough to tell me his story with the organization in the video below.

Also at GATS, I had the brief opportunity to meet Cubby Buddy toolbox inventor/maker and owner-operator Jeff Zehrer’s son, Zack (pictured below, right), a partner in the business. The two were not only exhibiting the toolbox but also the Zehrers’ new logistics-bar van-wall-mount storage system. More about that here.
