The new website, OverdriveRetro, offers retrospects on news, features and photos from 50 years of trucking history covered by Overdrive magazine for its 50th anniversary of its September 1961 launch. With special attention to the magazine’s back issues and reader interaction, the website has five photo galleries, a section for readers to submit memories and anecdotes about trucking, a equipment section featuring the best innovations over 50 years, a weekly featured topic, videos and a blog by Overdrive managing editor Lucinda Coulter.
The photo galleries comprise covers, trucks, ads, girls of the 1960’s era and a miscellaneous section. Each photo includes text describing some of the subject’s background.
