When you have to go, get there before the bus!

Updated Mar 24, 2012

I learned today that the TA truck stop in Denton, Texas is also a Greyhound bus station. Learned when I went inside to use the bathroom and found a full house because a bus full of people had just arrived.

Diane and I woke up this morning at that TA. We moved there yesterday so as to not to wear out our welcome (as in have someone run us off) in the retail area we woke up in Thursday morning.

Diane did laundry. As I look back on the day, I’m not sure I did much of anything particularly productive beyond some vacuuming and other housework in the sleeper.

Oops! Scratch that. While not much happened that is visible to the eye, today was a great business building day. Diane spotted a load on the Landstar load board that might work for us. I called the agency and learned that the load was covered but found the dispatcher there to be remarkably friendly and interested in our truck.

That adds another agent to our network. We did not do any business with that agency today but may very well do so in the future.
