2004 GATS Expects to See Growth

Organizers of the 2004 Great American Trucking Show are expecting even a bigger event than last year. The show will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Dallas Convention Center.

“Exhibit space sales are significantly ahead of last year, with new industry leaders committing to exhibit in ’04,” said Alan Sims, director of event sales. “This is as a result of the success of GATS 2003 and the improvement with our industry and economy.”

Visitors will see more truck and trailer makers, as well as other exhibitors, at this year’s show, he said.

Two major concerts – on Friday and Saturday evenings – are expected, Sims said. The artists and sponsors will be announced as soon as arrangements are finalized.

The show will offer 20 acres of free, on-site truck parking.
