Audiobook review: Beat the Reaper

Beat the Reaper
By Josh Bazell

Dr. Peter Brown is an intern at Manhattan’s worst hospital. He’s got a talent for medicine, but he also has a past he’d prefer to keep hidden. Pietro Brnwa is a hit man for the mob, known for violence and a close connection with the Witness Protection Program. So when Nicholas LeBrutto shows up in Brown’s room with the idea that those two might be one and the same, the action picks up quick in this thriller.

Author Josh Bazell has a B.A. in English literature and writing from Brown University and an M.D. from Columbia University. He wrote Beat the Reaper while completing an internship at a hospital he recalls as similar to the one in the audiobook.
