Mike Morgan (No. 88) will look to repeat his early-season success at Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbrier, Tenn., this weekend.

The Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series returns this weekend to Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbrier, Tenn., for the second time in the series’ inaugural season.

This weekend’s race will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, with racing beginning at 6 p.m. Grandstands will open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, $10 for youth ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

During the first race at the track on July 1, “88 Mike” Morgan picked up the win at what is the Wartrace, Tenn., driver’s de facto home track.

Morgan, who currently sits in third place in the overall points standings, will look to repeat his early-season success at the track to challenge points leaders Ricky “Rude” Proffitt and Tommy Boileau.

Boileau is currently on a three-race win streak, earning wins at Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Madison International Speedway and Lebanon I-44 Speedway. Proffitt is trying to hold onto the points lead after gaining a large advantage on the rest of the field early in the season when he won three of the first four races of the year.

Proffitt, Boileau and Morgan are separated by just 38 points in the overall points standings with just four races remaining.
