Connecticut gets $1M in federal roads funding

Connecticut will receive $1 million in federal funds to help pay for cleanup and road repairs following Hurricane Irene.

The Federal Highway Administration is sending the emergency relief funding for bridge and roadway infrastructure repairs. The Connecticut Department of Transportation has estimated cleanup and repair costs at more than $5 million.
